As you know, RAMP had the genuine pleasure of both sponsoring and participating in the 2013 TVnext Hackfest put on by Hill Holliday and Mashery right here in our hometown of Boston. The hack focused around using any available APIs to enhance a TV entertainment experience. With the proliferation of so called “second screen” (tables, phones) devices and time shifted TV viewing the idea of using APIs to build enhancing experiences around TV is a fascinating one.

When we launched our Developer Portal back in March, we hoped it would inspire creativity in our partners, and we haven't been disappointed. Right off the bat we've seen a flurry of activity as partners have integrated RAMP's APIs into traditional websites, mobile sites and backend processes. No one, however, had used RAMP to power an iOS app. Until now.

Back in March, when RAMP launched its Developer Portal and a plethora of new APIs and SDKs, we promised that this was just the beginning. Our plan was to be responsive to the needs of our customers and the market and make sure that the updates came fast and furious. Well, we are pleased to announce a number of updates to the RAMP Search API as well as a new set of integrations for the RAMP MetaPlayer Framework available immediately in the RAMP Developer Portal.

At SXSW last week we announced the launch of our developer portal, which now provides an entirely new way for customers to leverage the benefits of our MediaCloud platform. Our new API's now allow developers to easily enhance their existing applications and user experiences with the rich metadata, search and related content capabilities RAMP has become recognized for.  

Wow, hard to believe its been 3 months since the last blog post.  In that time we have practically circled the globe.  We started in London, and it turns out we ended in London.  We hit the Atex user conference in Sep, then to IBC in Amsterdam, over to LA for Digital Hollywood and the SharePoint Conference, down to NY to visit with the Magazine Publishers Assn, and then back to London for the Mozilla Festival.
