Newsloop and RAMP API's- Content Optimization comes to iOS
When we launched our Developer Portal back in March, we hoped it would inspire creativity in our partners, and we haven't been disappointed. Right off the bat we've seen a flurry of activity as partners have integrated RAMP's APIs into traditional websites, mobile sites and backend processes. No one, however, had used RAMP to power an iOS app. Until now.
We are excited to announce that RAMP's APIs are now powering a fantastic new app in the Apple AppStore. The app, NewsLoop, is an iPad news reader which leverages RAMP's platform to analyze and categorize content and utilizes our Search, Topic and Related Content APIs to deliver a slick, elegant, and contextually relevant, user experience. Using RAMP's platform, NewsLoop allows consumers to customize their experience by selecting the categories and keywords which are of interest to them. NewsLoop then automatically updates the news feed with relevant articles based on RAMP's algorithms.
The Newsloop App take great advantage of all of RAMP's Content Optimization approach. As articles, videos, and images are ingested and aggregated inside RAMP's MediaCloud, each content object is markep up and automatically tagged for categories and entities, and these elements are integrated into the user UI to provide dynamic navigation across a huge amount of content.
