FCC RULING UPDATE: On March 30, 2012, the FCC's rules governing implementation of the CVAA's captioning rules were published in the Federal Register. With this publication, the clock starts ticking on the first six-month milestone for compliance: by Sept. 30, 2012, the first designated collection of TV-derived media must be captioned when distributed on the Web.
